and They are. The Lordly Ones are out of their mounds, feasting within Ring and Fort, abroad on the Old Paths. I understand there are associations in Britain between the Hunt and Samhain, or wintry times, but here in |reland the Hunt and its warriors are associated with the Fianna, and they hunt in the summer when the sun is high. Sport of fighting and roaming the wild places takes place under the long sun of summer, when great exploits are at hand.
There are raids and war made at Samhain, to be sure. Just look to the ghastly discovery of poor Nera. In fact, all liminal seasons and times are ripe with activity but my Ring is fairly bursting with activity of late. To the deeds of these, my Kin, I must draw a veil but I promise, the air simply tingles. Just stick out your tongue and taste!
